Privacy notice

Effective: 28 September 2026 · Newsletter subscriptions and related technical data processing

Who is responsible for your data?

SPALOV Residences Kft.
Registered office: 1125 Budapest, Diós árok 49/D., Hungary
Data protection contact: management@furdohazak.hu

What are you subscribing to?

Our newsletter provides information about the opening, news, developments and offers of Palov Fürdőházak, the centre being developed in Szarvas. Subscribing is voluntary and is not required to read the website. The form does not collect health information and is not an appointment booking service.

What data do we process, and on what legal basis?

We ask for your name and email address when you subscribe. Your name forms part of your consent declaration, and your email address is needed for delivery. The system also stores the time, source, status and IP address of the subscription to record consent and prevent misuse. Your chosen website language is stored so that we can send subscription messages and newsletters in that language.

The legal basis for sending newsletters is your consent: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Section 6 of Hungarian Act XLVIII of 2008. Recording consent is justified by the obligation to demonstrate it under Article 7(1) of the GDPR. Technical checks designed to filter out bots and bulk abuse are based on our legitimate interest in secure operation, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

You subscribe by ticking the separate, initially unchecked consent box and submitting the form. No separate email confirmation is required. Your cookie choices do not constitute a newsletter subscription. No subscription is made without providing the required data and consent.

Where do we store the data?

Subscriber data is managed in the website’s WordPress database using the Newsletter plugin. The plugin’s developer does not receive the subscriber list as part of this subscription process; we have not connected an external cloud newsletter service for this purpose.

Hosting is provided by Sybell Informatika Kft. as a data processor (1138 Budapest, Tomori utca 34., 2nd floor, Hungary; provider details). Messages are sent by the website’s server-side mail function to your mailbox provider. The list may be accessed by the controller’s authorised staff and, to the extent needed for technical operation, the hosting provider.

We do not sell the subscriber list. This subscription system does not use a newsletter database outside the European Economic Area. Your own email provider handles receipt of messages under its own terms.

Retention and unsubscribing

We process your data for newsletter delivery until you withdraw consent or the newsletter ends. You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any newsletter or request this at management@furdohazak.hu. Withdrawal is free of charge and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Unsubscribing automatically excludes your address from further mailings. The controller deletes the remaining subscription and technical records without undue delay; you can also submit a separate request for erasure. If a specific legal dispute or mandatory legal requirement makes further retention necessary, only the data needed for that purpose will be retained separately until the proceedings or retention obligation end, and will not be used for newsletters.

Technical protection and cookies

The subscription form uses a hidden honeypot and checks that limit repeated requests. We have not enabled an external CAPTCHA service or email open or click tracking. The website’s cookie settings are managed by CookieYes running locally. Details are available in the cookie policy.

Your rights and remedies

You may request information about and access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, where the legal conditions are met, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Please send requests to the contact address above. As a rule, we respond within one month; if an extension is necessary, we will inform you of this and the reasons within that period.

You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., Hungary; postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9.; email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu; NAIH contact details. You may also seek a judicial remedy.

We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making with legal effects in connection with newsletter subscriptions.
